Jeremy Swayman made 38 saves for the Boston Bruins in a 5-1 win against the Florida Panthers on Saturday night, giving Boston a 1-0 lead in their second-round playoff series.
Brandon Montour tied it with 1 minute left in the second period, and Matthew Tkachuk scored twice in the third period to give the Bruins a 3-1 lead. Eetu Luostarinen put Florida ahead to stay with 5:38 left in the second period, but the Bruins scored the next four goals.
The Bruins swept the four-game regular season series against the Panthers, but that does not erase the memories of last year's playoffs, when Florida won the first two games of their second-round series before Boston rallied to win in six games.
Game 2 of the series is scheduled for Tuesday night in Boston.
