Early Life and Career
Charles Matthew "Charlie" Hunnam was born on April 10, 1980, in Newcastle, England. His mother, Jane Bell, was a business owner. Hunnam's father left the family when he was two years old.
As a teenager, Hunnam began his acting career by attending a local youth theater group. He was discovered by a talent agent at the age of 16 while dancing in a nightclub.

Hunnam's breakthrough role came in the British television series "Queer as Folk" (1999-2000). He then went on to star in a number of American television shows, including "Undeclared" (2001-2003) and "Sons of Anarchy" (2008-2014).
